1. Overview of ZX Self-priming Centrifugal Pump

The ZX horizontal clean water self-priming centrifugal pump is a type of self-priming pump where the motor is connected to the pump body via a coupling. The main feature of this pump is its self-priming function. There is no need to install a foot valve in the pipeline. Before starting, it only needs to ensure that a fixed amount of priming liquid is stored in the pump body to realize the "one-time priming, lifelong self-priming" function. It has advantages such as compact structure, convenient operation, stable operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long service life, etc. The pump body and flow-passing components can be made of cast iron and stainless steel of various grades, and the motor can be matched with frequency conversion and explosion-proof motors. It is widely used in industrial departments such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery, chemical fiber, food, energy, transportation and other urban water supply, and can also be used for agricultural irrigation and drainage and sprinkler irrigation. It is used for conveying clean water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water with a viscosity less than 5°E and a temperature lower than 80℃.

2. Structural Principle of ZX Self-priming Centrifugal Pump

The ZX horizontal clean water self-priming centrifugal pump body is composed of a suction chamber, a liquid storage chamber, a volute chamber, a liquid return hole, a gas-liquid separation chamber, etc., and adopts an axial liquid return structure. After the pump starts normally, the impeller sucks the liquid stored in the suction chamber and the air in the suction pipeline together, and fully mixes them in the impeller. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid carries the gas and flows to the outer edge of the volute chamber, forming a white foam belt with a certain thickness and a high-speed rotating liquid ring on the outer edge of the impeller. The gas-liquid mixture enters the gas-liquid separation chamber through the diffusion pipe. At this time, due to the sudden drop of flow rate, the lighter gas is separated from the mixed liquid, and the gas continues to rise and discharge through the discharge port of the pump body. The degassed liquid returns to the liquid storage chamber, and enters the impeller again through the return hole, and mixes again with the gas sucked from the suction pipeline inside the impeller. Under the action of the high-speed rotating impeller, it flows to the outer edge of the impeller again. As this process repeats continuously, the air in the suction pipeline is continuously reduced until all the gas is sucked out, completing the self-priming process, and the pump will put into normal operation.

In some pumps, there is no cooling chamber at the bottom of the bearing housing. When the bearing temperature rises above 70℃ due to bearing heating, cooling liquid can be injected for cyclic cooling through any one of the cooling liquid pipe joints at the cooling chamber. The sealing mechanism inside the pump that prevents liquid from leaking from the high-pressure area to the low-pressure area is the front and rear sealing rings. The front sealing ring is installed on the pump body, and the rear sealing ring is installed on the bearing housing. When the sealing rings wear out after long-term operation of the pump, which affects the efficiency and self-priming performance of the pump, they should be replaced.
